A Caring Team Focused on Meaningful Progress

Led by Cassi Alter, our team provides thoughtful, individualized care for children and adults. We take time to understand each person’s strengths, concerns and goals, then create support that feels practical, comfortable and encouraging.

Progress can look different for everyone. We celebrate meaningful steps forward—whether that means expressing an idea more clearly, joining a conversation, feeling more comfortable speaking or participating more independently in daily routines.

Helpful Answers Before You Begin

Starting therapy can bring up many questions. Here are a few answers to help you feel informed and comfortable before reaching out.

Contact our team
How do I know whether my child may benefit from an evaluation?

You may consider an evaluation when speech, language, fluency, social communication or everyday skills seem difficult, frustrating or different from what you expect. Our team can listen to your concerns and help you decide whether an evaluation may be useful.

Do you offer teletherapy?

Yes. Teletherapy is available for many appointments and can be a flexible option for families and adults who cannot attend the San Gabriel clinic in person.

Do you work with both children and adults?

Yes. SGV Speech Therapy supports both children and adults, with goals and activities shaped around each person’s age, strengths and everyday communication needs.

What happens during the first appointment?

The first visit is a chance to talk about concerns, strengths and goals. Depending on the service, it may include an evaluation, observation or conversation about the most helpful next steps.

Where is your San Gabriel office located?

Our office is located at 604 S. Del Mar Ave., San Gabriel, CA 91776. Call (626) 782-7615 or use our contact page for scheduling and visit information.
