Cassi Alter, MA-CCC, owner of San Gabriel Valley Speech Therapy (formerly Cassi Alter, MA-CCC and Associates), is a highly sought out pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist.
She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in English from the University of California, Berkeley in May of 1988. Following this, she acquired her Masters Degree in Speech Pathology from California State University Los Angeles in 1995. Following her educational career, Cassi has worked in a variety of schools, daycares, homes and hospitals to assist children.
Cassi is a member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and has obtained a Certificate of Clinical Competency (CCC) in Speech Language Pathology. Along with this she carries a license in Speech Language Pathology from the California Board of Examiners and has dedicated over 20 years of her life serving in the Speech Pathology field.
Cassi’s specialization revolves around children who have global delays, autistic disorders, and articulation issues. However, with her knowledge and expertise, her ability to help children reaches far beyond this scope. Cassi has been able to assist children in restoring both their communication and cognitive skills that may have been altered due to brain injury.
In addition, she has had the opportunity to teach Normal Language Development for four years for the Undergraduate Speech program at Touro College located in Los Angeles. Her areas of expertise have made her a sought out candidate for the entertainment industry as well. For instance, she has had the opportunity to help assist others through being a consultant on different music video and television projects. Through her experience and expertise, Cassi has been able to assemble a dedicated team of therapists who carry the same passion as her in assisting their San Gabriel Valley Speech therapy patients.
